The Community
The Four Seasons at your doorstep. Five private beach clubs along a pristine Kona coastline. A Jack Nicklaus Signature course framed by ancient lava flows and Pacific blue. Hualalai is not merely a community. It is a standard of living found nowhere else in the islands.
Hualalai sits roughly seven miles north of Kailua-Kona, which makes it the most convenient of the private resort communities to reach from Kona International Airport. That proximity matters more than it sounds: owners who use their home for long weekends rather than long stays tend to gravitate here.
The Four Seasons operates the resort, and membership in the Hualalai Club is what gives the community its character. Ownership of a home within the resort carries eligibility, and the club governs access to the golf, the beach clubs, the sports club, and the dining. Buyers should understand membership structure and dues as carefully as they evaluate the house itself.
Buying Here
Inventory at Hualalai is thin and moves through relationships as often as through open listings. Estate homes, golf villas, and the Hillside and Keʻolu neighborhoods each trade differently. Most transactions are second-home purchases, which carries a meaningful property tax consequence worth modelling before you write an offer.
Marco represents Buyers and Sellers across every one of the Kona and Kohala Coast private communities, and has closed at this level repeatedly. If Hualalai Resort is on your list, a conversation before you tour is usually worth more than one after.
