Kohanaiki

Kohanaiki is a 450-acre, private club community located on the Kona Coast of the Island of Hawai’i. The first new development of its kind on the Big Island in nearly a decade, it represents an evolution of the private club experience, instilling a welcoming, relaxed and comfortable lifestyle that is reflected in the warm and graceful attentiveness of the staff and the sense of genuine community among members.
Created as a private equity club similar to Kuki’o (not a resort), real estate options here include estate home lots, custom single-family homes, and paired townhome‐style residences, ranging in price from $3 million to more than $22 million.
Only A-List architects, builders, and interior designers were tapped to design, build, and decorate Kohanaiki homes, resulting in some of the best designed, built, and well-appointed homes on island. Views here are gorgeous, with ocean, golf, and mountain views. Every property at Kohanaiki comes with its own plunge pool and several come with detached guesthouses.

LUXURIOUS AMENITIES
Kohanaiki takes luxury amenities to an entirely new level, one never before seen on the Big Island. Everything is a step above what you would find in other luxury resorts. Kohanaiki Club members and their guests enjoy exclusive access to the Rees Jones-designed golf course, a luxurious golf and beach club, members beach, a world-class spa and fitness center, and dining facilities ranging from casual poolside fare to exquisite five-star dining.

Kohanaiki’s crown jewel is its new $65 million state-of-the-art Clubhouse that boasts some of the finest amenities on the island. The 67,000-square-foot facility opened last December and offers a wealth of activities in one location. There’s a 21-seat movie theater, four-lane bowling alley, microbrewery, cigar lounge, wine tasting room, and a holistic spa. No other private equity club or resort on island offers this breadth of activities at this high level of service!

For example, in the clubhouse wine room the Kohanaiki team has assembled 50 years of Chateau Mouton Rothschild, available to members who can also host private tastings among some of the most coveted wines in the world. The clubhouse has reserved space for everyone’s prized bottles, with wine storage lockers lining the hallways of the lower level.

Enjoy fine dining on the top floor of the clubhouse at Kōnane, a 120‐seat chop house and sushi bar. Featuring organic produce grown in the Kohanaiki garden, the restaurant offers delicious food with some of the best ocean and sunset views on island. For more informal fare, there’s an outdoor restaurant near the beach club pool with an outdoor pizza oven.

The holistic spa within the Clubhouse is extraordinary in its own right, with four free-standing treatment rooms, all of which boast outdoor showers and soak tubs. Spa treatments utilize locally sourced botanical ingredients and integrate ancient Hawaiian healing traditions. There’s also a 25‐meter pool, yoga lawn, advanced training equipment to help you stay active and a salon for nails, makeup and hair.
The impeccable attention paid to every aspect of life here is without a doubt elevating Kohanaiki as one of the best club memberships available anywhere in the state.
