Kona Oceanfront

Year-round tropical weather, seclusion, beautiful ocean views and a relaxed atmosphere are found in the Big Island resort community of Hokulia. This private community south of Keauhou provides exceptional living in a luxury resort along the Kona coast.
Built just south of Kona, Hokulia is a small, gated enclave encompassing a total of 1,550 acres along three miles of the Kona coast. Due to the unique topography of Hokulia, nearly every property offers stunning views and exceptional privacy.
One of the things that sets Hokulia apart from other Big Island resorts is the location – it is the only resort south of Keauhou. Secondly, there is no hotel attached to it, so the community doesn’t have the same feel as resorts farther north along the coast. Built at elevation above Keauhou Bay, the climate is nice and cool and it’s often out of the vog.

Hokulia is home to an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course – the only private oceanside golf course on-island. Two new comfort stations were recently added as course improvements.

Hokulia is managed by 1250 Oceanside LLC, which has undertaken several major improvement projects to the luxury community. For instance, 1250 Oceanside LLC recently commenced the first phase of the Hokulia Shoreline Park. A multi-year project, creation of the Shoreline Park includes removing non-native vegetation, protecting significant archeological and cultural sites, creation of hiking trails, rest stops, picnic benches and scenic overlooks.

Construction has also been recently completed on a variety of member amenities. Designed by de Reus Architects, the stunning new amenities include an ocean view exercise and fitness pavilion with a three-lane lap pool and two new tennis courts. Other amenities include a spa and massage facility with an open-air yoga studio, a men’s and women’s golf lounge, locker-room, and pro shop.

With sunny days, cool trade breezes, and stunning Kona coast sunsets, life at Hokulia is ideal for those seeking privacy and breathtaking scenery!
